Giving it up

I’ve been teasing my wife that I will be giving up preaching for Lent.

And in a way, I am. I’m still preaching on Sundays, but on Wednesdays, I’m participating in a drama with a collegue. Instead of preparing a sermon, I’m memorizing lines and putting together costumes. It’s been a cool process and I hope that we will be able to proclaim the Gospel through drama through the next weeks of Lent.
