Once you’ve loved a firefighter

Once you’ve loved a firefighter… you love all firefighters. I remember hardly noticing those fire trucks as they raced pass me. Now I see them on every corner. Not too long ago, I was unaffected by news stories involving firefighter rescues.. now I am riveted by them. It is so easy to detach yourself when it is not your loved one on TV. But if you have loved ones in the fire service, it becomes personal. It is so hard to watch that blaze on your local news channel, knowing your loved one is out there in it.
